01. Begin with a clear profile

Write down the little soul's expected adult size, natural movement pattern, preferred resting level, climate range, humidity rhythm, and need for light. This profile becomes the brief for every decision that follows.

Use a trusted care source for the exact needs of the little soul in your home. When guidance conflicts, confirm the plan with a qualified exotic-care veterinarian before buying equipment.

02. Build useful zones

A good enclosure offers choice. Plan a warmer and cooler area, secure shelter in more than one zone, a clear route between them, and enough usable room for natural movement.

Vertical room only matters when branches, ledges, and cover make it usable. Floor space only matters when routes remain open and furnishings do not create a maze.

• Choose dimensions for adult needs, not the first few months.
• Keep heating and lighting securely controlled and outside direct contact.
• Place water, food, and shelter where daily care causes minimal disturbance.

03. Measure the climate

Thermostats, thermometers, and humidity gauges turn assumptions into useful readings. Measure at the places the little soul actually rests, not only at the top of the enclosure.

Test the complete setup before arrival. Check daytime and overnight readings, confirm that the cooler area remains available, and adjust one variable at a time.

04. Add the natural essentials

Select a base that supports the required moisture level, footing, and cleaning routine. Add snug shelters, visual cover, stable climbing or burrowing opportunities, and a dependable water source.

Every object should earn its place through comfort, movement, enrichment, or easier care. Leave enough access to inspect, clean, and maintain the home without dismantling it each time.
